It's sort of deceiving...
President Bush is at it again, but this time it's not just the Dems who are questioning the "crisis" our Social Security system faces outlined by the President. Bob Aderholt (R-Alabama) agrees that change is needed, but doesn’t believe the Social Security system is about to fall apart.
"It's sort of deceiving when we talk about the situation being that we are on the brink of disaster. We're not. It will be several decades before the system goes bankrupt," says Aderholt.
It reminds me of the crisis we faced in 2003 when the world was an unsafe place because of Iraq's Wepons of Mass Destruction according to President Bush's keen analysis of the situation.
I think there's a pattern here.
