Whasting Wintertime, One Day At A Time
I've always found the idea of "daylight saving time" silly at best. Sunrise and sunset times change every year, all year. At some arbitrary point in the year, we tinker with what we call the time. The only compelling reason I've ever heard is that "it makes it easier for kids to get to school", but I've never really seen that in my life experience.
While it may be easier for some (and that would be hard to measure), it comes with a cost. A recently study was done to quantify the cost of adjusting our clocks. Indiana was a case study, showing that the switch to DST cost citizens $8.6M a year.
